So now law makers are getting threats over the health care bill.

I feel like I’m going back in time. Soon women will again be stoned to death with a public audience. The rich will start shooting poor peasants in the street. People can pay the church so they can go to Heaven later (currently still works). The rich live clean, healthy lives in sectioned off sections of the city, while the dirty poor become diseased and die. The rich are taxed a lot (overall amount), but still enjoy vacations and material items, while the poor are taxed a lot (vs. income), and still don’t have enough for basic life needs.

I will not begrudge the wealthy. Many earned it, and should be able to enjoy it, but when our society has lost sight on where the minimums for life, liberty, and happiness are, we only show that we are healthy on the outside, but cancerous inside. Many (millions (myself included) are not able to afford a reasonable health care option, and only want a fair and effective option. This has been a growing problem for some time, and as Americans we need to be proactive, not wait for a violent overthrow as other countries are forced to do. I’m not saying the new system is perfect, or will last for decades, only that there is movement and the stagnant health care water needed to be allowed to flow. I expect that there will be a lot of change in the coming years on health care and I feel that is good. Give and take will let things firm up as a good system.

Sadly, there are ignorant people freaking out about a bill they haven’t/can’t/won’t read or even try to understand, all the while unethical, smoke-and-mirror expect politicians are throwing half-truths out there so that the sheep spend more time fighting each other rather than notice the lobbyist payments coming in. I expect these nearly illiterate TV-only-watching, media sheep aren’t helping. These are the types who get into the moron mob mentality (unfortunately this is somewhat worse with the internet “not-think tank” environment) and start threatening people, rather than actually learn something so they can focus their anger/thoughts at the correct source.

Here’s a short bit of advice: Stop being the Americans others have told you that you should be and start becoming the Americans you need to be to see our country get back on track as being a world leader. #1. EDUCATE yourself. #2. Participate in DISCUSSIONS (not solely regurgitate others). #3. SUGGEST change(s). #4. VOTE.

I think it’s time for me to take some personal time off again from most everyone as I used to do once a year. If I decide that that’s the needed path to figuring out my current life and planning my future life, then I will be emailing out today to let people know.

Well…This last Monday was crazy. I started college again. I have planned things out for the next 7 years and it MUST happen!

I have 2 important things to say about getting back into school: HOLY CRAP! and YEAH! Let me explain.

HOLY CRAP=well holy crap! I have only 2 classes this summer (thank you Aubrey and Sarah for stopping me before I hit “Go” on a 3rd class) but BUT 1 is a 15 week classed condensed into 4 weeks, and the other is 15 weeks in 10 weeks.

YEAH=Hell yeah! I love my philosophy: Ethics class (debating!), and like my English: Composition class (prof is the most open minded English teacher I’ve had so far).

The hella hard part is working too. It means really early mornings into the office, then heading back after class until late. Oh well, it’s worth it.

Okay, back to work!

Well It’s been too long since I’ve written anything here.

The last few months have been really hectic, but because I have the best friends anyone could possible hope for, things worked out better than I thought they would. My family has proven to be great too.

I was worried about finding a home for my cats, but thanks to JB & Heidi and my Dad & Karen, both cats have a great home. Luna is with JB & Heidi and she has lost some weight and seems happier with less humans running in and out of the house. Ghost is with my Dad & Karen and has found a friendly companion with my dad’s dog Fritz (dad keeps reminding me that Fritz is my younger brother )

Money has been crazy stressful, but my friend and his wife (also a great friend) were able to loan me some money. (hard to explain how much that meant to my life lately)

Oh well, I really should try to get some sleep, a LOT to do at work for the next few weeks.

Well the time is drawing near when I will have to loose my two kids (cats). Unfortunately I have to choose between my future or my cats. I am trying to find homes for them, but if I need be they will have to go to the Boulder Humane Society.

I find myself feeling like a jerk. My oldest cat, Luna, will not be missed as much as my younger cat Ghost. Luna has become a very impersonal cat. She hides from everyone, and only wants to be petted once or twice then runs off “crazy” scared of nothing.

Ghost is such a lovable cat. He knows when people are having a bad day and wants to cuttle and make people smile. He loves to sit on laps and purrs frequently.

The worst part is they feel like my kids. I have spent most of my life feeling unloved and they have helped fill that space.

I can (and really must) believe they will find a good family and be happy there. If I spend time wondering or worrying that they have been put to sleep it will hurt too much because cats like Ghost are such a sweet and friendly cat.

It’s been a long time since I’ve cried and I hope losing them won’t be one of those times.
